​What is Spill the Tea?

The Spill the Tea event is happening at the Honey Teas & Sweet Treats festival as a fun experience for everyone attending who are 18+! You can submit a confession, and read it aloud for some hilarious, jaw-dropping fun.  You must purchase a ticket to attend the festival.

If you just want to attend the event as a fun night out, there is no need to submit. Just purchase a ticket and show up!​

Can I submit a "Am I the Jerk" or "Advice" confessions?​

 

Absolutely! We’ll accept a limited number of stories where you want to hear the audience’s opinions or get advice. If selected, you’ll have up to 5 minutes to hear feedback from the audience after sharing your story.

Just remember: you must be open to hearing different perspectives and receiving advice, even if it isn’t what you expected!

 

What are the rules?

 

1. You must be 18 or older to participate.

2. Keep stories fun and appropriate(ish) for a public audience.

3. Do not include full names or identifying personal information about others.

4. You may submit anonymously or include your name.

5. Not all submissions will be selected to be read on stage.

6. Stories must be truthful and must not contain threats, harassment, or targeted accusations.

7. By submitting, you agree that your story may be read aloud if selected.

8. Stories may be shortened or edited for time, clarity, and privacy.

9. Organizers reserve the right to decline any submission that does not fit the event guidelines.

10. You must purchase a ticket to the festival in order to participate. 

11. We may post a video of the event, stories, confessions, etc. to our social media

Will there be alcohol?

Yes! Alcoholic beverages will be available to purchase near the VIP tent at the convention center.

Can I submit a story, but remain anonymous?

​

Yes! If your story is selected to be read, we will have a designated reader to share stories anonymously. Feel free to change names in your story.

What do I need to do in order to participate?

​

Just submit your story and purchase a ticket to the festival! Tickets are valid for the whole day, so you can show up as early as you want.

When will I know if I have been selected? 

​

We will email everyone and let them know if they have been selected to share about a week before the event. We want to ensure everyone has enough time to share a story, so if we have additional time, we may call your name to share!
